Theme: Fruit of the Spirit: Developing a Spirit-Filled Life

Theme Verse- Galatians 5:22-23(ESV)

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Cody Gross will speak on Self-Control.

Cody Gross is a native of Rogersville, Alabama. Cody had a 41-2 record as a starting quarterback from 1992-95. He led UNA to three straight GSC titles, three straight national championships, and four straight playoff appearances. He was selected for the 50th Anniversary UNA Football Team for 1949-98, the Gulf South Conference "Team of the Quarter Century" for 1971-95, and the Gulf South Conference Team of the 1990s. Cody is a member of the UNA Hall of Fame. 

He began his coaching career as an assistant at Lauderdale County High School before being hired as an assistant coach at UNA. After three years with the Lions, he spent two years as an assistant coach at Delta State - one year as offensive coordinator and one as assistant head coach. He returned to UNA as an assistant football coach in 2012. He has been the head football coach for Athens High School since 2016.

Cody is married to Karin, the first girl he dated. He is the father of Peyton, Braden, and Brogan and the grandfather of Jude and Cain.
